1. Is there free parking?
Yes, we have free parking at the back of our building!

2. Why do I need dental x-rays?
While a visual inspection can detect obvious issues, dental x-rays help uncover hidden problems like decay between teeth, gum disease, wear on fillings, and changes in root and bone structures. They allow us to detect issues early, preventing future complications.

3. At what age should I start bringing my children to the dentist?
We recommend scheduling your child’s first dental check-up at 12 months. Early visits help prevent dental issues and start good habits early. By age 2 ½ to 3, your child will have all their baby teeth and should have regular maintenance visits to minimize the risk of future dental problems.

4. I’m too scared to go to the dentist. What can I do?
You’re not alone! Around 10% of Australians experience dental anxiety. The best approach is to discuss your concerns with your dentist. We offer strategies to help you feel more at ease, such as:

  • Medication
  • Relaxation techniques
  • A supportive, friendly team of course!

5. I haven’t been to the dentist in a long time. What should I do?
It’s never too late to start! Even if you haven’t been to the dentist for years, a check-up will help prevent serious oral conditions like gum disease, which can cause long-term damage if left untreated. Don’t wait until pain or severe symptoms occur; a professional check-up will ensure your oral health stays on track.

6. How can I pay for my dental treatment?
We accept the following payment methods with no surcharge:

  • EFTPOS
  • MasterCard
  • Visa
  • Health funds
  • Cash
  • Cheques

As we are a pay-on-the-day clinic, if you require a payment plan, please let us know before your appointment so we can set it up in advance.

7. How often do I need a dental check-up?
We recommend scheduling a dental check-up every six months. Regular visits help maintain healthy gums and allow us to detect and treat dental issues early, reducing the need for more extensive and costly treatments later.
If you have private health cover, check with your health fund to see if they reimburse you for six-monthly check-ups.

8. What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?
We understand life gets busy! If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask for 48 hours’ notice to fill the spot. If you provide less than 48 hours’ notice or fail to attend without notice, a fee may be charged due to the downtime of the practice.
We’ll remind you 48 hours prior via text and request that you confirm your appointment by replying.

9. I’m on medication. Does the dentist need to know this?
Yes, it’s important that we know about any medications, vitamins, or supplements you’re taking, as these can interact with dental treatments. When you first visit, we’ll ask you to fill out a medical history form. Please bring a list of your medications, and update it every year, especially if you start new ones.

10. Do you accept private health fund payments?
Yes, we accept payments from all private health funds. Be sure to bring your private health fund card to your appointment, as payment is required on the day of your visit. We’ll swipe your card for an on-the-spot claim.
